The rules behind the dates
- TDS and TCS for March 2027 are due by 30 April 2027, the Q4 statements by 31 May 2027, and Form 130 for tax year 2026-27 by 15 June 2027.
- Form 141, the challan-cum-statement for TDS on property purchases, on virtual digital assets, and on rent, contract work, professional fees, commission and brokerage paid by certain individuals and HUFs, is due with the tax within 30 days from the end of the month. Its certificate, Form 132, follows within 15 days.
- Government offices pay TDS and TCS the same day by book entry, or within 7 days of the month end by challan, March included.
- Quarterly GSTR-3B is due on the 22nd in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, and on the 24th everywhere else, Delhi included.
- Advance tax is cumulative: each instalment is the share of the year's tax due by that date, less what has already been paid.
- IFF is optional, and takes up to ₹50 lakh of B2B invoices a month. What is not uploaded by the 13th goes into the quarterly GSTR-1.
The calendar keeps to the regular dates. It leaves out GSTR-5, GSTR-5A, GSTR-6, GSTR-7 and GSTR-8, the Form 141 and Form 132 dates (and the old Forms 26QB, 26QC, 26QD and 26QE for March 2026), Form 137 (was 24G), and income-tax return, tax audit and SFT dates.
Sources: CGST Rules 59, 61, 62 and 80; Notifications 83/2020 and 01/2026, Central Tax; Income-tax Act, 2025, sections 58 and 408; Income-tax Rules, 2026, rules 215, 218 and 219; for periods up to March 2026, the Income-tax Rules, 1962 as summarised by TRACES; EPF Scheme, 1952, paragraph 38; ESI (Central) Regulations, 1950, regulation 31.
How it works
- Step 1
Pick the dates that apply
Start from the calendar above. A monthly GST filer needs GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B; a QRMP filer needs PMT-06 and the quarterly returns, plus IFF where buyers want their credit each month. Add TDS, PF, ESI and advance tax for the clients they cover.
- Step 2
Make each one a recurring task
Create the task once, set it to repeat monthly, quarterly or yearly on the due day, tag the period it is for and assign an owner. TDS and TCS statements and certificates are not evenly spaced, so make each quarter a yearly task, or Delay the Q4 one with a reason and the series keeps its slot. Group a client’s work in a project, save the shape as a template, or let your AI assistant read the list and create the tasks.
- Step 3
Close it with a record
Complete the task and the next one appears with the same owners and the next period. A delay or a skip needs a reason, and the activity trail keeps who did what and when.
What ReconScribe Tasks does on its own
Once a due date is a recurring task, the Tasks module handles these parts of the job.
The next occurrence creates itself
Completing or skipping a recurring task creates the next one with the same title, owners, project, priority and due time. A task due on the 31st lands on the last day of a shorter month and goes back to the 31st after it.
The period moves with it
Each task can carry the month, quarter or financial year it is for, separate from its due date. Complete GSTR-3B for June, due 20 July, and the next task is for July, due 20 August.
A delay moves one occurrence, not the series
Delay the June return to 25 July and July’s task is still due on 20 August. Only that one occurrence moves.
No delay or skip without a reason
The Delay and Skip actions do not go through without a reason, in the app or through your AI assistant. The reason is saved on the task and posted as a comment, and any other change to a due date is still written to the activity trail.
Reminders at about 10:00 IST
Once an admin switches reminders on, a daily run at about 10:00 IST flags tasks due today or tomorrow and repeats overdue alerts every 3 days, both adjustable, and stops after 30 days. Free plans get in-app alerts and a Monday summary email.
Email that follows each person’s choice
On premium, each person picks an email per task (assigned, due soon, overdue), one daily digest, or none. In-app alerts go only to the owners, the creator, admins and Tasks managers of that company.
A trail of who did what
Every create, edit, completion, skip, reassignment, comment and checklist tick is logged with the person and the time. The free plan keeps 30 days of this history; premium keeps all of it.
Juniors see only their own work
Mark a teammate as a Tasks Member and they see only tasks they created or were assigned, and cannot reassign work. Managers see every task in the company. The AI assistant connector (MCP) follows the same rules.

What changed for TDS from 1 April 2026
The Income-tax Act, 2025 replaced the 1961 Act from 1 April 2026, and the Income-tax Rules, 2026 renumbered the TDS forms. Salary TDS now sits in section 392 and most other TDS in section 393. The quarterly statements are Form 138 for salary (was 24Q), Form 140 for resident non-salary payments (was 26Q), Form 144 for non-residents (was 27Q) and Form 143 for TCS (was 27EQ).
Most dates stayed where they were: deposit by the 7th, March by 30 April, and statements by 31 July, 31 October, 31 January and 31 May. Two TCS dates changed. The TCS statement is now due on the same dates as TDS instead of the 15th, and TCS collected in March is due by 30 April instead of 7 April.
Work for periods up to March 2026 stays on the old forms. That is why this calendar still shows Form 27EQ on 15 May 2026, Forms 24Q, 26Q and 27Q on 31 May 2026, and Form 16 on 15 June 2026.
GST due dates for FY 2026-27
Monthly filers file GSTR-1 by the 11th and GSTR-3B by the 20th of the next month. QRMP, open up to ₹5 crore of aggregate turnover, swaps these for IFF by the 13th and PMT-06 by the 25th in the first two months of a quarter, then GSTR-1 by the 13th and GSTR-3B by the 22nd or 24th after the quarter, by state.
Composition taxpayers pay through CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter and file GSTR-4 by 30 June after the year, so 30 June 2026 for FY 2025-26. GSTR-9 for FY 2025-26, with GSTR-9C where aggregate turnover is above ₹5 crore, is due on 31 December 2026.
One date has already moved this year: GSTR-3B for March 2026 was extended from 20 April to 21 April 2026 by Notification 01/2026-Central Tax.
Advance tax, PF and ESI
Advance tax for tax year 2026-27 falls due in four cumulative instalments under section 408 of the Income-tax Act, 2025, from 15 June 2026 to 15 March 2027. PF and ESI contributions for a month’s wages are due by the 15th of the next month: EPF with the electronic challan cum return (ECR) on the EPFO portal, and ESI on the ESIC portal.
From a calendar to work your team owns
A CA firm usually sets this up once per client: a project for the client, the recurring tasks that apply, and an owner on each. The calendar view shows the month at a glance, and the dashboard counts what is overdue, due today and due this week.
With the AI assistant connector (MCP), setup can be one request: hand your AI assistant a client’s due-date list or a spreadsheet, and it can create one task per row, setting the recurrence and period from what the list says.
Frequently asked questions
What are the GST due dates for FY 2026-27?
Monthly filers file GSTR-1 by the 11th and GSTR-3B by the 20th of the following month. QRMP filers use IFF by the 13th and PMT-06 by the 25th in the first two months of a quarter, then GSTR-1 by the 13th and GSTR-3B by the 22nd or 24th after the quarter. GSTR-9 for FY 2025-26 is due on 31 December 2026.
What is the TDS due date for FY 2026-27?
TDS and TCS for a month are due by the 7th of the next month, and for March 2027 by 30 April 2027, under rule 218 of the Income-tax Rules, 2026. Government offices paying by challan have 7 days from the month end, March included. Quarterly statements are due on 31 July, 31 October, 31 January and 31 May.
What are the new form numbers for Form 16, 24Q and 26Q?
From tax year 2026-27, Form 16 is Form 130, Form 16A is Form 131, 24Q is Form 138, 26Q is Form 140, 27Q is Form 144, 27EQ is Form 143 and 27D is Form 133. Form 130 for tax year 2026-27 is due by 15 June 2027. Form 16 for FY 2025-26 was due by 15 June 2026 on the old form.

15 June 2026 (15%), 15 September 2026 (45%), 15 December 2026 (75%) and 15 March 2027 (100%), counted cumulatively, under section 408 of the Income-tax Act, 2025. Taxpayers who declare presumptive income under section 58(2), Table Sl. No. 1 or 3 (the schemes that replaced sections 44AD and 44ADA), pay the whole amount by 15 March 2027 under section 408(2).
What is the due date for PF and ESI payment?
The 15th of the following month, for both. Wages for March 2026 were due by 15 April 2026, and wages for February 2027 are due by 15 March 2027.
What happens to the calendar when a due date is extended?
The calendar shows statutory dates, and they move when CBIC, CBDT, EPFO or ESIC notify an extension, as GSTR-3B for March 2026 moved to 21 April 2026. In ReconScribe, delay that task with the notification as the reason: only that occurrence moves, and the reason stays in the activity trail.
Is the compliance calendar free for CA firms?
Yes. The Tasks free plan includes recurring tasks, projects, assignees, checklists, comments, the AI assistant connector (MCP) and 30 days of activity history, with in-app alerts and a Monday summary email once an admin switches reminders on. Premium adds per-task reminder emails, file attachments and unlimited history.
Does ReconScribe file returns or pay tax for me?
No. ReconScribe Tasks tracks the work: who owns each filing, when it is due, and whether it was done, delayed or skipped, and why. Filing and payment still happen on the GST, income-tax, EPFO and ESIC portals.
